Tree Removal
When A Tree Has To Come Down
Some trees can be saved — and some can't. A trunk hollowed by rot, a lean that gets worse every season, roots heaving your foundation, or a tree that simply grew too close to the house: these are removals, and they're not DIY jobs. Felling a tree near structures, fences, and power lines takes training, rigging, and the right equipment.
Evergreen Tree Care removes trees across Buffalo and Erie County safely and efficiently. Open-yard trees can often come down in one controlled fell; tight spots call for sectional takedowns, where a climber dismantles the tree piece by piece and every limb is lowered on ropes. Either way, you get a clear written price first and a clean yard after.

FAQ
Tree Removal Questions
-
How much does it cost to remove a tree?
-
Price depends on the tree's height and diameter, its condition, and what's underneath it. A small tree in an open yard is a quick job; a large tree leaning over a roof takes rigging and more crew time. We give free on-site estimates with a written price before any work starts.
-
-
Can you remove a tree close to my house or power lines?
-
Yes — that's exactly what sectional takedowns are for. A climber dismantles the tree from the top down and every piece is roped to the ground under control. Trees in contact with utility service lines may first need the utility to drop the line; we'll tell you if that applies.
-
-
Is the stump included?
-
Removal quotes cover the tree to just above grade. Stump grinding is a separate machine and a separate line item — most customers bundle it, and we quote both together so there are no surprises.
-
-
Do I need a permit to remove my tree?
-
Usually not on private property, but street trees in the public right-of-way belong to the municipality, and rules differ across Erie County towns. We'll confirm what applies to your tree before work begins.
